Ron Blaustein, age 48, is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Children’s Hospital of Chicago Medical Center and Affiliates. Mr. Blaustein joined Lurie Children’s as Corporate Controller in 2006 after significant strategic financial planning experience at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He served as Associate Chief Financial Officer from 2010 to 2014, at which time he was named Chief Financial Officer. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Mathematical Methods and Masters of Business Administration (Kellogg) degrees from Northwestern University.
Mr. Blaustein is involved in several professional organizations and previously has served on the Boards of Near North Health Services Corporation (A Federally-Qualified Healthcare Organization) and Almost Home Kids (AHK). He currently serves on the Boards of Accountable Care Chicago and Lurie Children’s Health Partners Clinically Integrated Network, LLC. He has several leadership roles with the Children’s Hospital Association including a member of the Audit Committee and executive oversight of the Purchasing Organization. He also serves as Vice Chairman on the Economic Club of Chicago’s Membership Subcommittee for Healthcare.
