Robert Keslow is President and Chief Executive Officer of Keslow Camera, a world-renowned motion picture camera rental house with 8 offices in the United States & Canada.

Born in New Rochelle, New York, Robert moved at a young age with his family to Chappaqua, NY, and was bar mitzvahed there at Temple Beth El of Northern Westchester.  His parents divorced at a young age, and he was subsequently sent off to Devereux School (a private boarding school for emotionally disturbed kids - obviously he didn't turn out so bad :) in Berwyn, PA.  After graduating from Devereux, Robert then spent two years at Curry College in Milton, MA

Robert soon thereafter went to work for his father, Milton L. Keslow, the co-founder of General Camera Corporation in New York, one of the preeminent camera rental houses of the time.  It was there where he learned valuable business skills that would serve him well later in life.

In 1981, Robert embarked on his first cross country flight and set foot in Hollywood, CA - never looking back.  He promptly began working at another camera rental house, CinePro, which was eventually acquired by Panavision.  Robert soon parted ways following the acquisition and started freelancing as an assistant cameraman for a number of years.  His last work as an AC was on the Universal Studios’ film, “Havana”, starring Robert Redford, where Robert had the privilege of working alongside Oscar-nominated cinematographer, Owen Roizman, ASC.

Not satisfied with the mediocrity he saw in the existing camera rental houses of the day, and feeling that the LA/Hollywood film industry deserved more personalized service, Robert founded Keslow Camera in 1990 out of his one car garage in Torrance, CA - applying the principles and great work ethic he learned from his father, Milton, and gleaned from his many years of experience at various camera rental houses and as a freelance camera assistant.

Robert has pushed Keslow Camera from its tiny beginnings to the force in the industry it is today - garnering clients ranging from Emmy award winning network television shows, to Academy Award winning feature films, nationally broadcast television commercials, and award winning music videos.

Robert is a proud member of many industry organizations, and is honored to be an associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).
