Rich is CEO and Managing Director of Telematica, a technology and business strategy consultancy working with early stage technology companies.  Rich is an adviser and a strategist for both established technology vendors and emerging ventures.

In 2019, Rich co-founded Provenant Data, a software company providing software as a service to the biomedical and healthcare industries. Provenant technology addresses the need for compliance with data privacy regulations and automated data quality. The technology is the result of a side project initiated in early 2018.  The company’s objective is “data with a pedigree.”

His career has ranged from the early days of the ARPAnet as a systems architect and implementer of electronic mail, to that of consultant in technology and production strategy for Fortune100 firms.  He is a serial entrepreneur, having founded, or joined in early stages, ten technology firms or consultancies.  These include: Rapport Communication (CEO), General Magic(VP Strategic Alliances), Breo Consulting, (CEO and founder), Univa, Inc.(COO and co-founder), Replicate Technologies (CEO), Streetlight Data (CEO and co-founder). 

An active adviser and strategist for both established technology vendors and emerging ventures, he leads the practice areas focused on cloud computing(hybrid/multi-cloud environments), big data & machine learning (data science & data engineering), and distributed computing (edge computing and distributed ledger technology).
