Linda Grais

Biotech Entrepreneur

Linda Grais, MD, JD has had a varied career as a physician, attorney, venture capitalist, and biotechnology entrepreneur. Most recently, Linda was President and CEO of Ocera Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company developing novel treatments for gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Previously, she was a Partner at InterWest Partners, a venture capital firm investing in drug development and medical device companies. Linda was a founder and executive vice president of Structural GenomiX, which pioneered the use of genomics to accelerate drug discovery. Linda trained in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine at Yale and the University of California, San Francisco, and was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine and Critical Care at UCSF.

Linda received a B.A. from Yale University, an M.D. from Yale Medical School, and a J.D. from Stanford Law School. She currently serves on several corporate boards, as well as several nonprofit boards including the Gladstone Institutes, Research Bridge Partners and PartnersGlobal, a conflict resolution NGO based in Washington, DC.
