I'm Madison! I am a current 3L at Rutgers Law School in Camden, NJ and the Co-President of the Jewish Law Student Association (JLSA). Since finishing undergrad at Rutgers New Brunswick I lived in Pamplona, Spain for a year teaching English and then worked at a Jewish non-profit, WIZO, for two years before starting law school. During law school I was a student recipient of the Mary Philbrook Public Interest Award. In my 1L year I became involved with the Mediation Project and the Philadelphia Innocence Project. Although online due to COVID, during my 2L year I volunteered with the Domestic Violence Project, and planned an outreach session for the Camden Know Your Rights Summit to educate the community about LGBTQ+ Rights in Health Care. While all of these experiences have further solidified my passion for public interest law, it was in my recent summer internship that I truly found my passion. At Mazzoni Center Legal Services, I had the pleasure of working in Legal Services for the LGBTQ+ community. After law school I will be clerking for Judge Hurd in Mercer County.
