Matthew is General Manager & Senior Vice President of Petsense, a Tractor Supply Company.
Prior to Tractor Supply, Matthew was Senior Vice President of Corporate & Business Development, Strategy & Growth at The Michaels Companies. Responsible for identification, development, and implementation of strategic growth initiatives including M&A, corporate strategy, and improving product and service offerings to Michaels' customers.
Prior to joining Michaels, Matthew was an executive in Accenture Strategy's North America Retail Practice, specializing in Transformational Corporate Strategy, Cost Optimization, Growth Planning, Multi-Channel Operations, Merger Synergies, Retail Real Estate, and Direct to Consumer Strategy.
Prior to joining Accenture, was a Partner at Consolidated Venture Partners & Consolidated Marketing, a consumer goods advisory, marketing, and investment firm. He worked with clients in conjunction with retailers including Walmart, Staples, Office Depot, FedEx Office, BJ’s Wholesale Club, etc. Additionally, he was a Co-Founder and Finance Partner at OnTrend Products, LLC, a privately held consumer goods design and manufacturing firm.
Matthew also served as a corporate officer in his role as Vice President, Business Operations at BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc where he managed business operations, BJ's Food Courts, product demonstration, partnerships and member services.
At Office Depot, Inc., he was Director/Senior Merchant managing several teams within merchandising with responsibility of over $2 billion in annual revenue. He worked across Office Depot's multiple sales channels; retail, e-commerce, direct sales, catalog and international.
Matthew graduated with honors from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science degree concentrating in Entrepreneurship and Law and earned a Master's of Business Administration degree from the University of Florida.
Matthew is on the Board of Overseers for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay, an FAA licensed private pilot, and is engaged with several charities including the Young Alumni Development Committee at Babson College.
