Mark M. Goldberg serves as Chief Executive Officer of Griffin Capital Securities, LLC, where he is responsible for the execution of the firm’s strategic direction and the development of vision and policies. He is also Executive Vice President of Griffin Capital Company, LLC.
As a financial services veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Goldberg previously served as Chairman of Carey Financial, LLC, President of W.P. Carey Investment Management, LLC, Managing Director of W.P. Carey Inc., and held other senior executive positions at affiliated companies. Before joining W.P. Carey, Mr. Goldberg served as Chief Executive Officer and President of AIG-Royal Alliance, Executive Vice President of SunAmerica Financial Network and President of AIG Securities, Tokyo.
Mr. Goldberg serves as Chairman of the Invest in Others Charitable Foundation, which funds and promotes a broad range of causes supported by individuals and firms in the financial services industry. He also serves on the Executive Committee of St. Mary’s Healthcare for Children. He was a founding member of the Financial Services Institute and the former Chair Emeritus, Chairman and Board Member of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA). In 2016, Mr. Goldberg was honored with the IPA’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his work on behalf of the alternative investment sector.
Mr. Goldberg is a sought-after thought leader, prolific writer and public speaker on issues related to advisor advocacy and investment solutions, as well as regulatory and governmental matters affecting the financial services industry. He has provided key testimony on economic and regulatory issues before the United States Congress and the Department of Labor.
