Lawrence Steyn

Lawrence Steyn is the CFO of Pony.ai, a leading global autonomous vehicle company;  Pony.ai was recently ranked #10 on the 2022 CNBC Disruptor 50 list.

Mr. Steyn is a financial industry veteran executive, most recently Vice Chairman of  Investment Banking at JP Morgan. Over his career, he has led a number of the largest  and most consequential client relationships and transformational transactions, both  strategic and in the capital markets.  

His relationships over his career have included leading global organizations such as  General Electric, United Technologies, Honeywell, Emerson, ABB, Parker Hannifin, and  Ford and private equity firms such as Blackstone, Clayton Dubilier & Rice, Bain Capital,  and The Carlyle Group.  

He has led over 100 transactions of approximately $500 billion over his career, including  the transformation of two of the largest industrial companies in the United States, with  the sale of GE Healthcare BioPharma to Danaher; the combination of Wabtec and GE  Transportation; the combination and creation of GE Oil and Gas and Baker Hughes; the acquisition of GE Water by Suez; the acquisition of Rockwell Collins by United.
