Mr. Ratner is an executive vice president and head of Americas operations. He oversees groups covering U.S., Canadian, and Brazilian funds, investment operations, data operations, client operations, and operational transformation. He is also a member of the steering committee for PIMCO Multicultural. Previously, Mr. Ratner served as a deputy general counsel, head of U.S. Funds legal, and chief legal officer for PIMCO's U.S. registered funds and for PIMCO Investments LLC. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2006, he was an associate with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, focusing primarily on investment management. Prior to that, he was an associate with Ropes & Gray. He has 20 years of business management and legal experience and holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review, and an undergraduate degree from Brandeis University. Mr. Ratner is a member of the New York, Massachusetts, and Illinois Bars.
