David Saxe is co-founder of Calvera Partners, a real estate investment firm founded in 2010 that acquires and repositions apartment communities using inspiration from the boutique hotel industry.  The co-founders of Calvera have a combined 50 years of real estate and finance experience and have been involved in more than $1.0 billion of real estate investments.  Prior to co-founding Calvera, David Saxe was Associate Vice President, Investments, for CIM Group in Los Angeles where he completed over $575 million in investments in apartments, condominiums, retail, commercial office, and hotels. Previously, David was a Senior Market Research Analyst with Equity Office Properties Trust and responsible for vetting potential acquisitions, dispositions and developments in major office markets throughout the United States. David graduated Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University and received his MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.  In addition to his role at Calvera, he currently serves on the boards of The Contemporary Jewish Museum, the Jewish Federation of San Francisco, is a member of the Advisory Council at ArtPoint at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and is a member of the current San Francisco cohort of the Wexner Heritage Program.
