Starting in 2011, Dan Scheinman became an early angel investor in high growth emergingenterprise and infrastructure technology companies focusing on companies founded by outliers. Dan was first check into (and current Board member at) Zoom (ZM), SentinelOne (S) and was an early participant and Board member at Arista Networks (ANET). In addition, he has been involved in successful exits at Treasure Data, Testim.io, Reveal Imaging and Think Big Analytics. Dan is investing his own capital (in one or two companies per year) in order to help identify and grow the next generation of disruptive innovation.

Previously, Dan had a diverse 18 year career at Cisco Systems, Inc. where he was entrepreneur, strategist and leader. Dan joined the company 20 months after its IPO and saw it scale to $40 Billion in revenue. From 2001-2007, he ran Corporate Development and was responsible for M&A, investments and strategic alliances.

Dan holds a doctor of jurisprudence degree from Duke University Law School and a political science degree from Brandeis University.  In 1986, while studying at People’s University in Beijing, Dan was awarded the English Encouragement Prize on Radio Beijing’s 1986 New Year Gala English Language Competition.
