Ari Nadelman

President, LionFish Properties

Ari Nadelman has over 35 years’ experience as an entrepreneur; starting, building and successfully exiting 7 diverse businesses. He is proficient at identifying opportunities, building teams, executing his vision and ultimately realizing liquidity.

In addition to his entrepreneurial business ventures, Mr. Nadelman simultaneously invested in income-producing real estate: purchasing, rehabilitating and selling investment properties across southern California.  His current project is the redevelopment and adaptive reuse of an industrial building in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles, under the banner of his real estate development company, Lionfish Properties.

In 2005 Mr. Nadelman co-founded Lionfish Advisors, a financial advisory firm providing M&A investment banking services to lower middle-market companies, providing Sell-Side, Buy-Side and Capital Raising services; recently exiting the firm to concentrate on the development of industrial real estate. In 2001, Mr. Nadelman founded Speedband, a fixed-wireless Internet business that was the leading and fastest-growing wireless Internet provider in its market.  In a short 4-year period, he executed his vision by building a 1,000-node long-distance wireless network and subscriber base across southwestern Riverside County, culminating in the sale of the business.

Prior to the wireless business, Mr. Nadelman developed ETS Dental, quickly becoming the market leader in providing regulated dental waste-disposal services to 40% of the market in southern California. In 1999 he sold the business to Stericycle (NASDAQ: SRCL).  In 1990, Mr. Nadelman founded Export Only with offices in Los Angeles and Belgium, purchasing seized merchandise from US Customs, and exporting it to buyers in Eastern and Western Europe.

In 1986 at the age of 23, Mr. Nadelman founded Environmental Transloading Services (ETS), a hazardous waste emergency response and environmental remediation firm.  Eight years after founding the company, Mr. Nadelman negotiated, structured and completed an all-cash sale company.  Just prior to founding ETS, Mr. Nadelman purchased the assets of a bankrupt computer company in San Francisco, forming Advanced Computer Repair, eventually selling the company.  Mr. Nadelman acquired the foundation for his acumen by spending his formative years working in his family's businesses, recovering and selling freight involved in train derailments and other catastrophic incidents.

He has served on the boards of the Santa Monica Science Magnet, the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation, the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), the Dubnoff Center for Child Development, the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO), World Entrepreneurs Organization (WEO), and the California Internet Service Providers Association (CISPA).

Mr. Nadelman acquired Series 7, 63, 24, 28, and 79-equivalent securities registrations and a General Engineering Contractor’s License.  Mr. Nadelman received his Bachelor of Science in the Political Economy of Energy from UC Berkeley, and completed the Executive Program in Management at the Anderson School at UCLA. He is fluent in Spanish, French and Italian, and currently resides in Santa Monica, California with his wife and son.
