Albert Praw

Vice Chair, Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of LA

Albert Praw is currently the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, and is the Chairman-elect for the term commencing in January 2020.  He is a member of the Federation’s Executive Committee, and Chair of the Strategic Planning and Distribution Committee.

Among Albert’s many charitable endeavors are his community positions as past President of Stephen S. Wise Temple, graduate of the National Young Leadership Cabinet, member of the Board of Governors of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center,former member of the Board of Directors of Shaare Zedek Hospital of Jerusalem,and former member of the Board of Directors of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Albert is also a member of the Urban Land Institute and one of its Community Development Councils.

Albert is currently Executive Vice President, Real Estate and Business Development, of KB Home, one of the largest home builders in the United States.  Prior to joining KB Home over 25 years ago,he was a partner at the law firm of Sidley & Austin LLP, where he specialized in real estate transactions and finance.

After graduating with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, Albert wenton to receive his law degree from UCLA Law School, graduating with Order of Coif honors.  Albert and Heidi (a Lion of Judah), his wife of 49 years, are the proud parents of Douglas (married to Dr.Stephanie Smooke Praw), Michael (married to Gantry Praw), Jonathan (married to Darcy Praw), and Dr. Rebecca Praw Share (married to Dr. Michael Share).  They are also the devoted grandparents of Maya, Alexandra, Andrew, Jack son, Sydney, Emily and Ryan.
