I am originally from Brooklyn and moved to Chicago in 2014 to study history at the University of Chicago. After graduating, I decided to pursue a legal career and enrolled at the University of Chicago Law School. I served as a 1L board representative last year and am looking forward to continuing to work with JLSA this year.
Rachel KatzinPresidentHometown: Boca Raton, Florida
Through serving as a JLSA 1L Representative during the 2019-2020 school year, I learned the importance of maintaining a tight-knit Jewish community in law school. As the 2020-2021 UChicago JLSA President, my aim is to provide a religious and cultural home to our students, while also facilitating engaging Jewish legal events and programs. Before law school, I completed my undergraduate education at Washington University in St. Louis, and following law school, I plan to go back to the east coast to work in either New York or Washington, D.C.

During my time at the Law School, I traveled to Israel and the West Bank with iTrek, and as a 2L I was JLSA's Programming Chair. I'm excited to continue representing the Law School's Jewish community as JLSA Vice President!
