Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Jamie serves as co-president of JLSA and leads JLSA’s marketing efforts. Jamie studied at the Yeshivah of Flatbush, Midreshet Lindenbaum, Yeshiva University Stern College and worked at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, before attending Penn Law. During college, Jamie was a NCAA championship fencer and graduated with a degree in Psychology, Business Management, and Judaic Studies in 2017. In addition to her involvement with JLSA, Jamie is a JGSN Israel fellow and an active member of Penn Law Israel Society, PLATA, Public Speaking Society, and Fed Soc. During her free time, she enjoys planning dinner parties, coffee shops around the city, and reading SeinfeldLaw.
Charlie is a 2L born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. Charlie received his bachelor’s degree from Yeshiva University where he majored in accounting and finance. Prior to coming to Penn Law, Charlie worked as a Tax Consultant at Deloitte where he provided compliance and consulting services to real estate clients. As treasurer of JLSA, Charlie oversees all finances and is responsible for the Bala outreach initiative. In addition to his involvement with JLSA, Charlie is on the board of the Penn Law Real Estate Club and PE/VC Society and is a VITA pro bono volunteer.
Michael (Leibel) Gniwisch runs the Cultural Food Exchange program at JLSA. Before law school, he taught Torah at a Montessori elementary school and made his bubby proud by becoming a rabbi. He’s always in the mood for a crunchy sour pickle and a good story. Talk to him about This American Life and kabbala.
Alex Kaye is from Palm Beach, Florida and graduated Brown University in 2017. She is involved in several groups on campus including Penn Law and the Arts, Entertainment and Sports Law Society, Penn Law for Philly, Light Opera, and Penn Law Ultimate Game Society. In her free time she loves to paint, bake, and spend time outside.
Originally from Israel Joe graduated from yeshiva with a Bachelor’s degree in Talmudic Law. Prior to law school Joe worked for two years as a mediator and client representative in rabbinic court. At Penn, Joe is the Director of the JLSA Reading Club and VP of the Brandeis Center. He enjoys his coffee breaks at Avril 50.
Seth Rosenberg (L’22) is the Head of Speaker Engagement for JLSA. Originally from Long Island, Seth graduated SUNY Binghamton for undergrad. Before starting law school he spent one year tutoring the LSAT for Kaplan. He is the co-president of Beyond The Law and a board member of the Disabled Law Students Student Association (DLSA).
